Abstract

Purpose : This study was performed to identify the meaning of communication experience following hospital physician and nurses.

Methods : A qualitative research design was adopted using Colaizzi¡¯s hermeneutic phenomenological approach. The participants were five physicians. Data were collected in July 2018 to August 2018 through in-depth interviews.

Results : The four essential themes of the communication experience of physicians were ¡®Responsibilities that follow beyond limits¡¯, ¡®A wish to take care of itself¡¯, ¡®Inconsiderate double-edged¡¯ and ¡®And we¡¯ll be together¡¯.

Conclusion : Nursing interventions to resolve conflicts and problems with clinical nurses that physicians refer to from the physician¡¯s point of view by understanding the meaning and essence of the communication experiences experienced by doctors in the clinical field we expect to establish a plan.
